Charles Stevenson

Dr. Charles A. Stevenson served as a defense and foreign policy staffer in the U.S. Senate for 22 years, then served as professor of national security policy at the National War College for 13 years. He now teaches at the Nitze School of Advanced International Studies of Johns Hopkins University. He is the author of two recent books: "SecDef: the Nearly Impossible Job of Secretary of Defense" (Potomac Books, 2006) and "Warriors and Politicians: U.S. Civil-Military Relations Under Stress" (Routledge, 2006)
