Frances Hardin

Frances Hardin is a media relations expert with broad international experience. In recent years, she served as a senior press officer at the International Monetary Fund with responsibility for Africa.  While at the IMF, she also produced a broadcast video series on economic issues in the former Soviet Union, Africa and Asia. In addition, Hardin edited and oversaw production of a manual of procedures for the IMF Media Relations Office.

Hardin is a journalist by training and served as White House correspondent for CNN during the Ronald Reagan and George H.W. Bush administrations. She graduated with a bachelor's degree in political science and English literature from the University of California at Berkeley, and has masters' degrees from Cornell and Columbia in labor history and journalism, respectively.
 
Hardin speaks French, was born in Louisiana of Creole parents and grew up in San Francisco, California.
