Leader: Steven J. Nider
The Project on National Security Reform works with congressional leadership and staff to raise the issue of national security reform in the legislative branch. The Congressional Liaison Working Group is responsible for making Congress aware of the findings and recommendations of PNSR, with the ultimate aim of affecting change through the legislative process.
The Congressional Liaison Working Group works closely with the leadership and senior staff of four Senate committees and five House committees, all of which directly involve national security affairs. In addition, the working group interacts with members from other committees with jurisdictions that address some element of national security.
The Congressional Liaison Working Group is assisted by members of the Guiding Coalition and PNSR staff, as well as by the Congressional Oversight Working Group.
